Langkawi International Aerospace and Maritime Exhibition is staged
bi-annually on beautiful Langkawi island in Malaysia.
Langkawi is actually an archipelago of 99 small islands, nestled
off the shore of Malaysia's Kedah state in the Indian Ocean, just
south of the border with Thailand.
While traditional Langkawi is the origin of several folklore legends,
most of which involve heroic warriors or fairy-tale princesses,
modern day Langkawi is a duty-free shopping haven, port of call
for International cruise liners and holiday paradise.
Langkawi has also made a name for itself as the regular host of
international events, such as the Tour de Langkawi, Langkawi Regatta,
and among others, of course, L.I.M.A.
 The
island can be reached by ferry from the mainland, from Penang Island
in the South and from Thai Krabe Island in the North, as well as
by plane from major international airports on several commercial
airlines and charter flights.
