In
1999 we secured a contract to develop a site with live video
coverage of LIMA '99, the biannual Aerospace and Maritime
Exhibition held on beautiful Langkawi Island in Malaysia.
Our original site attracted over 100,000 visitors during the
week of the event and ever since we started compiling a database
of World air forces we have been receiving data and photos
from all over the planet.
It is because of this help and the amazing flood of suggestions
and contributions that we have decided to make MyLIMA more
than just a lasting online record of one biannual event.
With the coverage of Thai 2001 next year, we will take our
first step towards becoming Southeast Asia's online authority
for defense and transportation technologies.
In
addition to further databases and video archives, we will
also add a full-scale online community with discussions and
free notice boards.
Furthermore, we encourage everyone to make use of our U2ASEAN
free mail
server and check out our Technology
Newsgroups.
Finally, we are still working on an online slide show comprising
all the photos we received from contributors. Keep'em coming.
